· Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) 1995. · Member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (Veterinary Behaviour) 2000. · I will be beginning Fellowship training in 2008. · Delta Canine Good Citizens Instructors Course 2001. · I have been seeing behaviour cases since 1999. · Monash University Psychology, Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine Animal Ethics Committee (Category A– Veterinary Member) since 2006. · Anthrozoology Research Group. I am involved in research exploring the human animal bond and the costs and benefits to both humans and animals of our interactions. Research projects include the demographics of cat ownership, cat behaviour problems and how dog breeders breed for temperament. · I am currently undertaking a PhD, developing a model for describing canine personality. · On-line tutor for Graduate Certificate in Animal Welfare currently offered at Monash University. · Involvement with dog training and dog sports since 1985. I have competed in obedience, agility, tracking, endurance and most recently showing with German Shorthaired Pointers. · I currently live with two German Shorthaired Pointers and a cat. |
